Transitions® Lenses

New Transitions Lenses are the prescription eyeglass lenses that offer the physical comfort of lightweight plastic and the visual comfort of a light-sensitive tint that changes as the light changes. Day or night, inside or outside, Transitions Lenses are right in any light.

Transitions Lenses make your eyes look and feel good. They also offer the highest levels of UV protections available from changing tint lenses, blocking 100% UVA and 99% UVB at all times. They're also scratch resistant, so they'll continue to be right for many years.

How Do They Work?
Like most light-sensitive lens products that change, Transitions Lenses are activated by UV rays. The higher the UV, the darker the lenses; the lower the UV, the lighter the lenses.

Extreme temperatures can also affect the way light-sensitive lenses change. They can get darker in cold temperatures, not quite as dark in extremely high temperatures. So if you should notice slight differences in how the lenses change, it is just a normal function of UV levels and temperature.
